WELCOME TO MY BLOG—LK AT HOME AND AWAY!

The idea for the blog was born when I realized—after 18 months of living in the vibrant city of Boston—that I was not taking full advantage of all of the interesting things to see, do, and experience in my neighborhood and across the city. With plans to move to Plymouth, Mass., in mid-2017, I decided to make a project of seeing and doing all that I could before the move.

So beginning the first week of January 2017, I'll be taking a weekly or biweekly excursion and writing about my experiences and observations.

Most often I'll be accompanied by my husband, Bob, who can be a tricky customer to please ... I expect to be combining great food and drink spots with historical, artistic, cultural, athletic, and other activities and attractions!

Of course, as an avid traveler I expect to visit other places as well, so the title "At Home and Away" seemed to capture the spirit of what I hope, plan, and expect to accomplish this year.
